Processing time
2-4 weeks for customs is considered my typical turnaround time for most pieces once your spot has been reached in the queue (with the exception of larger time-consuming pieces such as heads/suits); however, this can vary with the amount of work necessary to complete a complex design (i.e. many spots or markings that require individual hand-sewing).
I will do my utmost to complete projects within that timeframe, but if you have a required/set deadline, you must inform me of this with plenty of notice, and payment must be received in plenty of advance time to allow for completion or you will be subjected to either a refund/cancellation or an additional rush fee to ensure completion on time. I don't mind rush projects at all and am happy to accommodate most requests, but communication is key -- please be courteous and don't expect to get bumped ahead in the queue because you didn't allow enough time for me to get it finished!

RUSH FEES AND EXPEDITED SHIPPING
Gotta have it soon? Attending a con and you need a tail? Your Ren Faire faun needs a pair of ears ASAP? Halloween is coming and you need a last minute costume? I can help you get geared up for your events NOW!
Rush orders will cost extra and must still allow me at least 5 days to complete them (not including time necessary for shipping/transit).

If you must absolutely have a project by a rushed/strict deadline, you will be expected to pay at least 1.5x (up to double, esp. if I must work beyond my normal hours or schedule) for the work depending on complexity, and any additional rush order shipping (e.g. 2-day, Express, Air, Overnight, etc.) Rush fees are not subject to payment plans, and must be made in full once the quote is accepted.
Important Note: This does NOT apply to large commission pieces such as an entire head or suit. Rush processing is still available, but please contact me to see if the scope of your project is possible to complete on an expedited timeline. I will likely refuse if I feel my standards of work will be too compromised to allow for the level of quality I strive to maintain.
shipping and handling information
US Domestic: By default, all of my work, including Made to Order and premade pieces, are sent through USPS Priority, with tracking and insurance. If you prefer another carrier, either by preference or to make your package better deliverable to your area, please let me know either up front or at completion before I create your shipping label. Please also send updated payment costs to cover the difference, in the event your original quote included standard shipping. For easy reference, your shared PayPal invoice will contain your tracking number once it is generated, where I will also mark it as shipped. You should receive a confirmation email with this information, as well.

International: Shipping will be handled similarly, through USPS Priority Mail International, where tracking and insurance will apply. Other shipping options can be considered, but may be subject to hefty fees, and expedited options will be unavailable due to this cost in almost all circumstances. Please contact me to see how we can best accommodate you where you live.

Please make sure that your address is updated and correct in your PayPal account, as this is the one I will copy and paste from when I create the shipping label. I will check with you to make sure first, but it is up to you to carefully proofread for mistakes (i.e. missing apartment number, address numbers transposed, wrong street). I am not responsible for misdelivered packages due to an incorrect address.

All pieces will be sent in appropriate mailers (in most cases, a sturdy box with plenty of packing material) in order to ensure that your item is safe upon receipt; however, I am NOT liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged/mishandled items as a result of USPS (or other carriers) and the treatment it may receive in transit. In the unlikely event that a package is completely lost to either party (marked as not delivered to either the buyer or returned to sender) I am happy to negotiate either a refund or a remake of the product in question -- covered by USPS's insurance, so that neither party is subject to financial losses.
Important Note: You have my guarantee that I will choose the most economical and efficient way of packing your items; however: I will not send packages in unsafe smaller containers/bubble mailers/envelopes inappropriate for the contents in order to cut corners on shipping costs, as this reduces the likelihood that your product will arrive safely and in perfect condition, nor will I mark items or payments as "Gifts" or lie about package contents in order to skirt international customs processes or to avoid incurring the appropriate fees. Please do not ask me to do this. This protects both me, as the seller, and you, as the buyer, in case something is mishandled in transit or a refund must be processed, either through USPS or PayPal, due to extenuating circumstances.
