Terms and conditions
You must fully read and accept the following before commissioning me! Failure to comply with any of these conditions can result in cancellation of your project (with or without refund) and up to/including legal action.
· You must be 18 years of age or older to commission me. If your parent or guardian is commissioning an item for you, I must be able to work with them directly and have their contact information. Photo ID will be required (in the form of a picture of you, holding your ID) in order to confirm this. You may blur out sensitive information if you wish; however, I must be able to confirm at least your matching photo and date of birth. You do not need photo ID confirmation in order to buy my premade items.

· Currently, all payments for orders are handled through PayPal. The buyer will receive a comprehensive invoice that tracks payment plans, item details, and other information so that both parties can keep track of current balance, the scope of the commission, etc.

· A comprehensive quote conversation must be had before the start of a commission. This will include all the necessary information that I will need to provide an accurate price, based on factors such as complexity, material availability, or any other add-ons requiring more completion time/effort (e.g. LEDs, horns). Once references are received and a quote has been given, the price will be locked-in and honored for 30 days. After that time, a new quote must be resubmitted for evaluation.

· A clear reference (preferably multiple angles provided) OR a specific description of all elements desired (fur color, length, trimming, airbrushing vs. sewn markings, attachment methods, etc.) must be submitted during the quote process. If specifications aren’t made up front, I will default to a “typical” method (i.e. a metal headband for the ears, elastic loops for the tail). If a picture reference is provided, you must have permission to use said reference (e.g. no using other people’s commissioned artwork that you did not pay for/create).

· No carbon-copies of copyrighted/trademarked characters (e.g. intellectual property of other people or companies/corporations, such as Mickey Mouse™ ears). I will not make exact duplicate ears/paws/heads/tails/etc. that other makers have made of other people’s artwork/OCs, nor will I attempt to recreate or copy another maker/artist’s specific style. Things like basic shapes or colors/color combinations are fine.

· After a certain point, only very minimal changes will be accepted, if any. Even if the proposed changes do not require me to alter the scope of the commission (once in progress or otherwise), it can be very stressful and time-consuming to factor in all the necessary changes and apply them to your commission. Digital mockups/progress pictures will be provided along the way during different stages in the commission, but only certain changes may be honored (e.g. no complete do-overs or redesigns of the original idea. Things like “could you make it darker on the tips of the ears?” are totally fine and reasonable requests to make during progress proofs.) I am very happy to answer any questions, but please make sure you come to me with your idea in mind first – otherwise, take some additional time and come back to me.

· If a specific fur/material is desired that is not in my current stock, I will require a 30% nonrefundable deposit so that I can acquire them for the commission. This is NOT an additional fee – this number will be a percentage of the cost of the project, and will go towards the full purchase price quoted. This will alter the completion time of your commission in the queue to allow for delays in materials shipping.

· Commissions over $200 will require a standard 30% nonrefundable deposit (regardless of material acquisitions). This functions as a placeholder for the commission should you decide to back out, as well as not leaving me completely out of the costs for materials or time invested, should work have already begun. Shipment of your item will be withheld until receipt of final payment, at which time your project will be released to you.

· Rush orders will be extra and must still allow me at least 5 days to complete them (not including time necessary for shipping/transit). If you must absolutely have a project by a rushed/strict deadline, you will be expected to pay at least 1.5x the cost of the project for the work and any additional rush order shipping (e.g. 2-day, Express, etc.) Rush fees are not subject to payment plans, and must be made in full once the quote is accepted.

· In regards to shipping, I will do my utmost to guarantee their timely and safe arrival; however, I am not liable for errors or delays made by the post office/other shipping services.

· I reserve the right to refuse or cancel a commission. This decision may be based on criteria including the overall character/conduct of the person commissioning (rudeness, disregarding TOS, non-response), potential content (e.g. nothing homophobic, racist, etc.; no offensive markings), or other reasons I may deem necessary.

· I typically do not accept refunds -- if the item is broken or damaged in any way that is not as a direct result of the buyer (rough treatment, mishandling, dropping, getting the item wet, etc.) I will fix the item for free of charge up to 10 days after the item is received. (Proof of damage must be recorded through pictures). Rare exceptions to this will be considered at my discretion, but it is the buyer’s duty to confirm any questions beforehand if they have specific requirements that need to be met, and to make sure any and all dimensions and physical attributes/aesthetics are confirmed before purchasing, and during the work-in-progress phase where picture proof is provided via stages of completion.

· As all of my products are entirely handmade, natural variations will occur between references, mockups, and pictures of other featured items in my gallery. I will do my best to repeat my work as consistently as possible to give you the most accurate representation of the work you request, but in accepting these terms, the buyer agrees not to hold Gingersoul liable for any differences in airbrushing, fur shaving, or construction that may occur naturally in a handmade product.

· If a payment plan has been agreed upon, payments must be submitted to Paypal via the invoice system within the agreed timeframe, or the buyer risks the cancellation of their commission and issuance of a refund depending on work completed (if proper communication/renegotiated terms cannot be reached). If a payment is defaulted on for more than 30 days and the seller does not offer correspondence, the commission will be cancelled and all completed work will be auctioned off to recoup funds lost.

· I am not to be held liable for any damages or injury to any persons, pets, property, or objects while using objects purchased from me. Take caution when wearing any accessory that may have small parts which could be harmful to children or pets if swallowed.

· You may not copy, steal, profit from, or resell any of my original ideas or designs. If you are reselling physical pieces I have already made for you, please credit me as the artist who made them in your listings, so that others know where they can find me if they want additional pieces or have questions about their construction. If using my work as part of a fuller costume, please credit me as the artist for the specific parts I have made, where possible.

· Usage of my photos or personal likeness (watermarked or otherwise) on this website or any of my social media pages without my permission is expressly prohibited. Posting personal photos of you in your pieces are completely okay (please credit me as the maker where possible). Removing or cropping my personal watermark from my photos for personal or commercial use is strictly forbidden, and will likely result in legal follow-up and/or permanent blacklisting from my shop and services.
